Bryan Murdaugh
Bryan Murdaugh is a Christian youth minister, songwriter, and musician living in Irmo, South Carolina, with his wife, Cindy, and his two daughters and son. Combining his love of the Gospel with his passion for music, Bryan, who is the contemporary music leader at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, South Carolina, decided to create his first album of liturgical music to demonstrate how musical talent combined with a love for God can result in a unique, uplifting message that can inspire, entertain, and enlighten.
Bryan also enjoys speaking at church events and retreats. A full-time youth minister, Bryan’s unique sense of humor, outgoing attitude, and love for serving God allows him to enjoy leading young people on a righteous path to God, teaching them of the Gospel in a fun environment. With the many worldly temptations facing teenagers, and the many distractions in the average teen’s life, Bryan is able to push the chaos aside with his own brand of Godly insanity (ask him about the time he did a religious skit dressed as a heavy metal rocker) and show young people how God’s word is relevant to them in their daily lives.
While some churchgoers zone out during liturgical music, Bryan’s unique style can make feet tap and heads nod (and has inspired his pastor to comment that he was ready for the Lord after hearing his first ever Reggae Responsorial Psalm). Bryan’s first liturgical album, Imperfect Offering (available from iTunes, CDBaby), shows why Bryan works so well with teenagers – he doesn’t just think outside the box; he exits the box factory and drives all the way across town before activating a box-shielding force field.
